Women's Health Physiotherapy
What is the focus?

Women’s Health Physiotherapy focuses on the assessment and treatment of conditions related to the pelvic floor, core, spine, and pelvis across all life stages. This includes support for:

Care goes beyond strengthening, it considers breathing, posture, movement, nervous system regulation, and daily load to support function, comfort, confidence, and long-term wellbeing. It also helps women reconnect with their pelvis, focusing on awareness, relaxation, and tuning into an area of the body that is often overlooked.

What makes us unique?

Women’s health physiotherapy at Anara Health is led by Janine, a highly experienced physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, along with extensive further training in pelvic health and internal pelvic release work. She also works as a birth doula, giving her a unique perspective on pregnancy, birth, and post-partum recovery.

Janine’s work is trauma-aware and consent-led, with particular sensitivity to clients who have experienced birth trauma, medical trauma, or sexual trauma. She only offers long consultations, acknowledging that this work requires time to help women feel safe, comfortable, and fully supported.

She approaches her work with women in a hands-on, intuitive way, helping them connect with their pelvis — an area often overlooked or underappreciated. Sessions focus on relaxing, tuning in, and restoring awareness, mobility, and function.
Janine tailors every session to the individual, combining clinical expertise with her passion for bodywork to support women in reconnecting with their body, regaining confidence, and feeling empowered in their recovery.
